McGee Staying With Razorbacks, Search For Next TU Coach Continues

Posted: Updated:

The search continues for the next head coach of the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

Friday, the University of Arkansas released a statement confirming that Garrick McGee has decided to stay with the Razorbacks.

In the brief statement McGee says that he has decided to pull his name from the Tulsa position. He goes on to say, "My goal is to one day be a head coach and there are a number of considerations that factor into when that time will come. I appreciate the opportunity Tulsa gave me to meet about their program and wish them the best of luck in their search. I look forward to continuing to work with Coach Petrino towards our goal of winning championships."

Todd Graham, who resigned Monday to take the head coaching position at Pittsburgh, left Tulsa after a 10-and-3 record and  a 62-35 bowl victory over Hawaii.
