TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa Shock guard Odyssey Sims has been named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team. She also finished second in voting for the league's Rookie of the Year. Connecticut's Chiney Ogwumike, San Antonio's Kayla McBride, Washington's Bria Hartley and Alyssa Thomas of Connecticut round out the All-Rookie team.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops hasn't let his success go to his head. Stoops is the only coach to have won every BCS bowl game and a national title. He has a career record of 160-39 and closed last season with a stunning upset victory over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. But Stoops has constantly reminded folks that this team hasn't accomplished anything yet. His Sooners open the season tomorrow at home against Louisiana Tech.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The Florida State defensive backfield has dubbed itself the "The No Fly Zone" after finishing 2013 as the No. 1 pass defense in the country and setting a school record with 26 interceptions. The Seminoles will have the opportunity to live up to the moniker when they face Oklahoma State in Texas tomorrow. The Cowboys feature a fast-paced spread offense and were the No. 14 scoring offense in the FBS last season.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Brock Osweiler led four scoring drives in the final tuneup for his third season as Peyton Manning's backup as the Denver Broncos beat Dallas 27-3 last night. The loss gave the Cowboys their fifth winless preseason in franchise history. Romo's backup Brandon Weeden came out before halftime of his second ragged game in four preseason outings.
