Not Enough Snow To Go Around

This week’s winter storm was choosy on who got snow and who didn’t. As expected, most of the snow fell east and south of Tulsa, however that snow line stretched right across the city. Two bands of heavy snow fell south of I-44 and south of I-40. Up to 8 inches accumulated across Wagoner county and east of Coweta.

Other snow sweepstakes winners were: 6 inches in LeFlore and Okmulgee counties, 5 inches in Latimer and Muskogee counties, 4 inches in Pittsburg county, and 3 inches near Catoosa. 1 to 4 inches fell in and around the Broken Arrow area. However officially at Tulsa International Airport there wasn’t anything to measure. In fact, Tulsa was split down the middle with snow on the east side and nothing on the west.

No doubt a lot of you woke up Tuesday morning saying “where’s the snow?”, while others were saying “look at all that snow”. As I always say…”that’s Oklahoma weather”!

What do you think about this new storm for tomorrow and Friday? The Norman office is projecting 4-8 inches along and south of I-44.
