WHY YOUR WEATHERCALLS MIGHT HAVE BEEN LATE

Frank's WeatherCall is such a hit and so many of you have been signing up for it, that some of you have been receiving your warning calls a little late. Therefore, additional computer power had to be put into place.

The response has been tremendous across Green Country, so much so that it has been tough to keep up with the demand. Since we launched the program a few weeks ago, we have pushed the computers that send out the warnings a bit beyond their optimum workload, and it didn't help that we've had so many stormy days. Each one of those days included hundreds of phone calls that were sent to addresses that were within warning areas.

Therefore, to make sure that phone calls go out as quickly as possible, the hardware has been doubled. These are the computers that push the messages out to you hundreds at a time. We are confident that the warnings will be delivered much faster from now on.

Frank's WeatherCall remains an exclusively new cutting edge technology, and we are thankful for your feedback, your understanding, and your continued support. Our goal is to make this a superior program you can depend on to help save your life.

The weather call is a great tool! It could stand some improvment. the last few times I didnt get calls til after the storm was already on top of me, other times, I wouldnt get calls at all or I would get a call on house and not cell ( or vice versa). But other that that its a great tool!

WE ARE SIGNED UP FOR THE SERVICE, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL WHEN WE WERE IN THE POLYGON FOR THE TORNADO TRACKER ON 05/07/08. OUR SIRENS WERE GOING OFF, AND YOU SAID THAT THE TORNADO WAS TRACKING TOWARD ORU/JENKS....US! I THOUGHT THE COMPUTER PROBLEM FIX WOULD HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM, BUT WE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL...EVEN A LATE ONE! WE GOT THE REQUESTED E-MAILS, BUT NO CALLS. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!! I WANT TO FINALLY FEEL SAFE AT NIGHT WHILE SLEEPING!! WHEN CAN WE EXPECT THE CALLING SYSTEM TO WORK CORRECTLY??????????????????? PLEASE LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY!! THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HARD WORK, FRANK!! AND DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE TV-MISSING WHINERS OUT THERE!! I MISSED MY SHOWS TOO, BUT IF EVEN JUST ONE LIFE WAS SAVED, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT! THANKS AGAIN TO YOU AND THE WHOLE CH 8 WEATHER CREW!!! TERRI

SENT A BLOG ON A DIFFERENT ARTICLE, ABOUT NOT RECEIVING A CALL WHEN WE WERE IN THE POLYGON OF THE TORNADO TRACKING. MAYBE THE COMPUTER OVERLOAD WAS THE PROBLEM!?! SURE HOPE IT WILL WORK NEXT TIME!! THANKS FOR YOUR SUPERB WORK!! EVEN THOUGH WE DID NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL, YOUR ON AIR BROADCAST STILL DID THE TRICK!! JUST HOPE THE COMPUTER CALLS NEXT TIME, IN CASE THE STORMS ARE AT NIGHT!! THANKS AGAIN!!

Frank, what happened tonight???? The sirens were going off in Bixby, and NO weather call. After we came back in the house from the safe room at 7:37 our phones rang with your voice telling us there was a Severe Thunderstorm in our area.....it was basically over by then. NO call at all from you about a tornado. It had worked so well with the previous storms this week. Now, I have lost faith that I can go to sleep with bad weather lurking and your phone call will wake me......

George
Frank; tonite May 7, your call was late for our area in south Tulsa. If the capacity has been doubled, shouldn't our call have been made sooner?

The commercial says you can watch tonight at 10 p.m. for your chance to win a year's worth of WeatherCall for free.

On your commecials, Frank says his weather call is free. When you look it up on your web site, it costs $6.oo a years. what gives?

Chris
We have pea size to marble size hail off of 75 and Jenks exit

Thanks Frank. The first week I signed up I received two calls in one night. As you mentioned above the calls were a bit late as we were well into the storm which wasn't too big of a deal with just heavy rain and lightening. But I hope IF a tornado comes our way we will have the warning well in advance. But I do appreciate the service and I sleep a bit better knowing it's there. That said I'm from California and give me a good old earthquake any day over a tornado! (Well not too big on the Richter scale)
