The Oklahoma Sooners are ranked second in the first pre-season football poll of the 2008 season. Oklahoma, which finished 8th in the final 2007 poll, is ranked behind Georgia in the ESPN.com poll.
The Sooners finshed 2007 with an 11-3 record and a 20-point defeat at the hands of West Virginia. But, Oklahoma returns a lot of talent, including offensive stars Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray and Jermaine Gresham.

Florida is third in the poll with Missouri and Southern California following.
National champion LSU is ranked eighth in the poll.
