Oklahoma City - About 300 people gathered at a Jewish temple in Oklahoma City in a show of support for Israel's decision to attack Gaza in response to violence by Hamas militants.
Monday's event at Temple B'nai Israel included the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City, Chabad Community Center, Emanuel Synagogue, Temple B'nai and the Hillel Foundation at the University of Oklahoma.
Jewish Federation program director Marcy Price says the group prays for peace and to support Israel's right to defend itself against continuous violence.
Last week more than 200 mostly Islamic demonstrators marched outside the state Capitol during a "Peace Vigil for Gaza" condemning Israel's offensive.
