A prosecutor says a Yukon police officer and a Canadian County sheriff's deputy were justified when they shot and killed a man who was stabbing a teenage girl to death in his car. Officer Zachary Roberson and reserve sheriff's deputy Ray Harrison shot and killed Robert Roberson Sept. 1st. The officer and Robert Roberson were not related.
The officers say they had chased Robert Roberson from Yukon to Mustang when the deputy used a tactical maneuver to knock Roberson's car off the road. As the two officers approached the car they saw Roberson stabbing 16-year-old Bailey Thrasher.

The officers opened fire and killed Roberson. Thrasher died of stab wounds.
Canadian County District Attorney Cathy Stocker says both officers were justified in shooting.
