A 43-year-old Okeene woman is dead following a one-vehicle accident on a rural Blaine County road. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Amy Lea Eskue died in the wreck, which occurred on a gravel road about 1:25 p.m. Saturday about three miles east and 2.5 miles north of Okeene.

Troopers say the cause and details of the accident remain under investigation.

NewsChannel 8 myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Eskue was thrown more than 25 feet from her vehicle during the accident. She was taken to a hospital in Okeene before being flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she died.
