The amount of money Oklahoma received from tribal gaming more than tripled from 2006 to last year. State records show Oklahoma received nearly 70-and-a-half million dollars from Indian gambling compacts last year compared to 21.5 million dollars in 2006.
The money goes to public education.

The Chickasaw Nation led the tribes with payments of 18 million dollars. The Choctaw Nation is second with 16.5 million in payments and the Cherokee Nation is third with 11.5 million.
