Tulsa Community College is getting a 1.74 million dollar grant and plans to use it to train 360 people in information technology.
The grant from the U.S. Department of Labor is the largest TCC has ever received.
School officials say they'll design information technology education, upgrade the skills of current IT workers, educate new people and recruit youth to the IT industry.
The college is developing a certificate of achievement and an associate degree in computer programming and is working to establish paths for students to move on to four-year colleges and obtain bachelor's degrees in IT.
