Sydney died at a Tulsa hospital after being stabbed nine times her heart pierced twice. Both girls were students at Madison Middle School.
What's wrong with calling an adult an adult and a child a child instead of sending mixed messages about when childhood ends and adulthood begins and ALSO mixed message about breaking and bending the rules ourselves as a society? I.E. We don't like the rules for children so we'll just call a 14 year old an adult, effectively breaking our own rules. You really don't see the problem with that? You really think that's better than just making sentencing for child murderers harsher?
