Sheriff Indicted In Woodward County

A 20-county indictment accuses Woodward County Sheriff Les Morton of illegally pocketing travel claim money.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson's spokesman Charlie Price says the Woodward County grand jury is recommending Morton be suspended immediately and eventually kicked out of office.
The 54-year-old Morton appeared before District Judge Ray Dean Lender who set bail at $100,000.
The attorney general's office was the legal adviser to the grand jury and says Morton is accused of taking more than $10,000 in expense money while driving a car provided to him by the county.
