Sutton Says He's Staying At ORU

Oral Roberts basketball coach Scott Sutton says he's staying at the private Tulsa school.
Sutton says he has withdrawn his name from consideration for an opening at Texas Christian. He was thought to be a leading candidate for the job, which opened after TCU fired Neil Dougherty last week.
TCU athletic director Danny Morrison met with Sutton on Tuesday and spoke with the coach again Thursday.
Sutton decided to stay at Oral Roberts after talking with his current athletic director, Mike Carter and businessman Mart Green, who recently donated $70 million to the school.
Sutton has guided the Golden Eagles to four straight titles in what is now known as the Summit League and three straight NCAA tournament berths.
