Taloga - At least seven fire departments are fighting a large wildfire in Dewey County in western Oklahoma.
Undersheriff Clay Sanders says the 600- to 700-acre grass fire was burning Thursday afternoon in the northern part of the county near Taloga.
No injuries are reported and Sanders says no structures are burning. He says the blaze appears to have restarted from a fire Wednesday.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has shut down US Highway 183 between Putnam and Taloga because of the smoke from the fire.
Fire departments from Taloga, Seiling, Vici, Camargo, Leedey, Putnam and Custer City are fighting the fire.
