Tulsa - The headlining acts for the 2009 International Mayfest were announced during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
Sister Hazel will perform Friday night and Old 97's will take the stage Saturday night for the 37th Annual International Mayfest, an outdoor tribue to the arts and music.
Sister Hazel has been around for 15 years, performing alternative, folk and southern rock music. They're best known for their 1997 hit single "All For You", which hit number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Old 97's are an alternative country music band from Dallas. They too have been together since 1994 and have released eleven albums, the most recent being "Blame it on Gravity", released last year.
Mayfest organizers also announced an expanded "green" effort for this year's event, including placing the visual and performing artist applications online, saving on printing and transportation.
They are also asking participating food vendors to use environmentally-friendly serving products and are providing media information on flash drives.
Even this year's commemorative poster was printed on recycled paper, using soy-based ink.
Mayfest will be held May 14th through 17th in downtown Tulsa.
