Tulsa,OK - Spring does not officially start until 6:44am Friday but mother-nature has decide to go ahead and give us another sneak preview.
Unseasonably warm temperatures will once again be the rule across much of Oklahoma today. Highs forecasted to reach the mid-80's on Wednesday with some areas seeing temperatures in the upper-80's.
The combination of warm temperatures, strong Southwest winds and dry conditions will once again leave most of the state under high fire danger conditions.
On Tuesday there were several major fires reported in Oklahoma. One in particular burned a section of earth between Avant and Barnsdall in Osage County. Prompting officials to close a portions of Highway 11 as thick smoke reduced visibilities to near zero for a short time.
A cool front will move across the area later today switching winds around to the North and dropping temperatures back to near normal. Highs on Thursday and Friday will be in the 60's.
There is also a slight chance of a few storms with the frontal passage today. This cool front will hang around the area through the weekend resulting in a daily chance of showers and storms.
A much stronger storm system will begin to affect the state early next week. At which time we could see several rounds of severe weather along with heavy rains.
