Claremore - Rogers State University is turning 100 years old and today they'll celebrate with a parade.
The parade is scheduled for two o'clock this afternoon. Miss Oklahoma Kelsey Cartwright will serve as the Parade Marshal.
The parade will feature the color guard from Thunderbird Youth Academy with more than 100 cadets, area marching bands, antique cars, the RSU rodeo team and other Hillcat athletes.
The university was founded in 1909 in Claremore as Eastern University Preparatory School -- a school to prepare sons and daughters of Native Americans, farmers and ranchers for colleges and universities in Oklahoma.
