Texola - Low visibility from blowing snow and hazardous conditions have prompted the Texas Department of Transportation to close Interstate 40 at the Oklahoma/Texas state line.
Slick and hazardous conditions are being reported in the Panhandle and western Oklahoma. Crews in northwestern and western parts of Oklahoma are working to clear out and treat the roadways.
I-40 isn't the only road having been closed. Highway 412 from Fort Supply through the Panhandle is closed. Highway 64 is closed from Buffalo west through the Panhandle. State Highway 385 from Boise City north and south to the Kansas and Texas state lines is also closed.
Also closed are Highway 56 from Boise City southwest to the New Mexico state line and northwest to the Kansas state line, State Highway 325 from Boise City west to the New Mexico state line and State Highway 171 from Keyes south to the Texas state line.
As much as a foot of snow is expected in northwestern Oklahoma and the Panhandle, which is currently under a blizzard warning.
