Sperry - One local school system finds itself under fire. It's now without a leader.

It's all happening in Sperry north of Downtown Tulsa. That's where another superintendent resigned Thursday night.

Keli Morgan had a very bad experience as an employee of Sperry Public Schools.

"I couldn't do my job. I was in tears." That is until she was fired.

"On my letter, my termination letter, there is no reason given." Morgan blames the Sperry School Board, whom she says is power hungry.

They met Thursday night to decide the fate of Superintendent Dr. Rayma Harchar, whom many believe was forced to resign. And it didn't take the Board long to go into executive session. Concerned parents and teachers could do nothing but wait.

Despite the fact that the matter was supposed to be discussed during that executive session, many sources tell NewsChannel 8, it was already a done deal. They decided to accept that resignation and offer her a buyout of $62,500.

And close to two hours later, board members resurfaced, and those sources were correct. Dr. Harchar's resignation is accepted by a vote of 4-to-1.

But board members remain tight-lipped. The School Board president, Derrell Morrow, had "no comment".

Keli Morgan, meanwhile, says the School Board has forced a mass exodus of both employees and students.

"Now we are going to have to leave a school that we fought so hard to come to and we're not the only ones."

And this is not the first time for trouble at Sperry Schools. In fact, this is the 3rd superintendent to call it quits there in just one year.

Also, the high school principal is under investigation by police after male students complained about his inappropriate behavior in the school's locker room.

And the district has been named several lawsuits. One by filed parents of a 4th grader, who say their son was left naked in a classroom.

Board member adjourned the meeting with no mention of an interim superintendent. There is no word on who will be running the school system come Friday.
