NewsChannel 8 storm chasers were busy Thursday as several tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma, including a large tornado that stayed on the ground for a long, long time.
The big twister was reported in Pawnee and Osage counties and stayed on the ground for more than an hour.
NewsChannel 8 storm chaser Steve Moles first reported the tornado on the ground at about 8:25 p.m. near Skedee. That's a tiny town in northern Pawnee County.
The storm then crossed into Osage County where it was picked up by storm chaser Fred Williams, who sent back incredible video of the tornado as it continued to move to the northeast.
Also on the storm was storm chaser Mike Scantlin. Scantlin's video showed the multiple-vortex tornado skipping across the ground.
And, the most fortunate part of this storm is that the twister stayed over mostly open country and that there were no injuries reported from the storms.
Tornadoes were also reported on the ground in the Oklahoma City area. Again, no injuries are reported from those storms. There was some damage reported in the Choctaw area where a building had its roof ripped off.
