With gas prices rising to $3.49 a gallon in many Tulsa locations, you may be seeing the cost of other services rise as well.
"They just want to know why airline tickets have gone up as of late," says Tulsa-based AAA Travel Agent Cindy Bailey." Some of the airlines have doubled the fuel charges."
And it's not just airlines.
Smaller businesses are also passing the higher cost of fuel on to you, including some you might not expect.
In Tulsa we found plumbers, pizza places, chinese restaurants and flower shops all charging extra delivery fees to compensate for higher gas prices.
"We did raise our delivery prices a dollar but the the biggest impact is on us now the flower company charges for delivery and they didn't always do that."
At Blooms they make certain the customer knows.
"Toward the end of the conversation we say that does include tax and delivery to make them aware of that," says Malissa Hughes of Blooms.
Not all businesses are as upfront about these additional charges.
One on-line florist we found made no mention of a courier fuel surcharge of $4.93 cents until the very end of the order.
It's another example of let the buyer beware. And even then you have to look very closely.
"Until the government comes up with someone to deal with higher gas prices someone is going to have to pay and it's the consumer."
