Tulsa ranks high on a list of cities likely to have teenage drivers involved in deadly car crashes.
A national study by Allstate Insurance ranks Tulsa 23rd among the top 100 largest metropolitan areas in terms of teen fatalities. It identifies Tulsa as a "hotspot" city where fatal crashes involving teens are more prevalent based on their local teenage population.
Statewide Oklahoma has seen a drop in teen fatalities. A recent study by the state Department of Public Safety found a 44 percent decline in teen driving deaths since 2000 when the state started its graduated driver's license program to limit the privileges of new drivers.
