At least five deaths are reported in southwestern Missouri after a tornado that caused seven deaths in Oklahoma crossed the state line Saturday evening.
The town of Racine, about ten miles south of Joplin in Newton County, was heavily damaged. NewsChannel 8 storm chaser Mike Scantlin shot video of the homes and other structures that were heavily damaged or destroyed by the twister.
At least three people were reported dead in Newton County with a fourth fatality in neighboring Jasper County. It's unclear where the other fatalities were located.
