U.S. Cellular is providing free local or long-distance phone calls for victims of Saturday's tornado.
The company says Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., free phone services will be provided at the Picher Housing Authority located at 116 Devilliers Circle.
U.S. Cellular will also provide a place to charge cell phones to aid with tornado recovery efforts.
A Cell Site On Light Truck, or COLT, is being brought to Picher to ensure the cell sites remain in operation. The COLT will enhance wireless capacity and provide coverage to remote areas.
