A bond election that would have paid for new facilities for Tulsa Community College has failed.
Voters defeated both propositions. The first -- for 76-million dollars -- failed, getting just 45 percent of the vote.
Proposition two, worth 8-million dollars, would have supported operations for current and new facilities. It too failed, receiving just 43 percent of voters' approval.
Had the bond passed, 16-million dollars would have gone toward adding a learning center in Owasso. It would also have added several new programs, including Cardiovascular Technology, Management Leadership, Information Tech Convergence, Air Traffic Controller and Process Technology.
