A Tulsa County judge sentences a convicted rapist to 10 years in prison for trying to procure child pornography while he was incarcerated.

Patrick Lee Mayberry pleaded no contest to a felony count involving allegations that he asked a convicted sex offender to send him pornographic pictures of a nine-year-old Tulsa girl in 2005. The 29-year-old Mayberry previously lived in Tulsa with the girl and her mother.

District Judge Gordon McAllister found Mayberry guilty yesterday and imposed the prison term in accordance with a plea agreement.

According to records, Mayberry was incarcerated at Davis Correctional Center in Holdenville when he sent a letter to a recently released inmate who also stayed with the woman and her daughter.

The woman found the correspondence, in which authorities say Mayberry had asked the man to get some erotic and pornographic images of the girl and send them to him.
