Cool Schools - Michael Bates

For the second consecutive year, Locust Grove High School has more Gates Scholars than any other school in Oklahoma.
Out of 12 who applied for the prestigious scholarship, four were named Millenium Scholars. That's a big reason why we're back at Locust Grove, our final 8's Cool School of the year.
Michael Bates is one of those four Gates scholars. He is also the class valedictorian. A young man who has never made a 'B'.
For the last four years, Michael has also been a member of the school's award-winning FFA program, showing and raising dairy heifers.
