Severe thunderstorms have spawned at least one tornado in northwestern Oklahoma, but no injuries or damage were immediately confirmed.
Television storm spotters captured an elephant trunk-shaped twister touching down about 10 miles northeast of Fort Supply on Friday night.
Video showed at least one home with roof damage near the Harper County community, but sheriff's dispatchers said the reports hadn't been confirmed. The storm eventually tracked northward into Kansas, which was hit hard by severe weather on Friday.
Harper and 17 other counties in that region of Oklahoma were under a tornado watch until early Saturday.
The storms formed as warm, moist air and strong winds moved into the state ahead of a powerful storm system spinning over the Plains.
