Fairfax - Severe thunderstorms entering northeastern Oklahoma are coming with very strong winds, which has caused some minor damage.
Winds in excess of 70 miles per hour have been measured with the storms, which were in Osage and Pawnee counties shortly before nine o'clock Friday evening.
Near Fairfax in Osage County, some trees were reportedly blown down by winds between 50 and 60 miles per hour. The 70-mile per hour wind gust was reported near Blackwell in Kay County and a large tree in the road was reported near Ponca City.
A 65-mile per hour gust was also reported near Pawnee.
Earlier in the evening, a tornado was reported in the panhandle of Texas. No injuries have been reported with any of the storms.
