Riverlanes Bowling Center extends an open invitation to our waiting children. And while bowling was a little challenging for Nataysha, who's 3 and a half, Kejuante and Trevon were naturals.
The kids are all healthy and active. Nataysha goes to daycare, and she's very outgoing. In fact, she's musically talented.
"I love Phil, you love me by Barney."
Kejuante and TreVon are great kids, mannerly and polite. Kejuante is 10, TreVon is 12. Kejuante, who will be in the 5th grade next year, has lofty goals for his future.
"Have you ever thought about what you want to be when you're grown up?"
"Yes."
"What?"
"The president."
"Oh, wow. How are you gonna do that?"
"I'm going to go to college."
And, who knows? TreVon, who will be in the 6th grade, may find his future on some kind of field.
"I guess I like a lot of sports. I'll play any sport, but it takes practice, though, to get good at it, to get good at it."
The Department of Human Services hopes to find a two parent home for these children. They need positive role models, support, encouragement and of course lots of love.
