The Cashion School District has won the latest round in a claim that the district wasn't providing a proper education to two sisters with autism. An administrative hearing judge has sided with the district in the complaint filed by Martin Barry in February on behalf of his 7-year-old daughters, Kaitlyn and Kayleigh Barry. Cashion Superintendent Todd Garrison says he's pleased with the outcome. Barry has complained that the school district isn't providing enough education services to his daughters. The two girls were diagnosed with autism in 2004. That year, the Barrys started working with the Cashion School District to provide in-home special education and related services, such as occupational therapy. Garrison says district employees will continue to work with the family to provide services for the girls. Meanwhile, Barry is considering an appeal.
