Fewer people are dying on Oklahoma roadways this year compared to 2007. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Saturday there have been 290 traffic-related deaths on Oklahoma roads and highways this year. That compares to 339 deaths during the same time last year. The patrol also reports fewer deaths in June, with 29 traffic-related deaths so far this month, compared to 36 during the same time last year.
