Former Oklahoma running back Adrian
Peterson is back in Norman this week where he was met by hundreds
of adoring children at his first football camp.
About 500 children took part in the three-day camp for a chance
to learn some skills from Peterson who was The Associated Press
Offensive Rookie of the Year after finishing second in the NFL in
rushing with the Minnesota Vikings.
The camp featured an appearance today from New England Patriots
receiver Wes Welker who lives in Oklahoma City.

Peterson says his hope is to inspire the children to "dream
big" and accomplish what they want in life.
On a personal level Peterson says his goal is to rush for 2,000
yards but says the ultimate goal is for the Vikings to get to the
Super Bowl.
