Jury selection is under way in the
first-degree murder trial of a man accused of killing a woman
during a 2005 home-invasion robbery near Watonga.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for 57-year-old Jessie
Floyd Johns. He's also facing charges of shooting with intent to
kill, grand larceny and having a gun after a felony conviction.
The case was moved from Blaine County to nearby Garfield County
because of pretrial publicity.

Johns and Wendell Arden Grissom were accused of breaking into
the home of Lauren Drue Kopf in November 2005 and shooting her and
a friend, Amber Matthews.
Matthews died instantly but Kopf survived.
The two men led authorities on a brief manhunt before they were
captured in western Kingfisher County.
Grissom was convicted in March and sentenced to death.
