Okfuskee County - Monday marks a somber anniversary for Okfuskee County.

It's been one year since Taylor Placker and Skyla Whitaker were discovered shot to death along a dirt road in Weleetka. But for the people of that small town, it seems like yesterday.

NewsChannel 8's Burt Mummolo traveled to Weleetka Sunday and talked with Skyla's dad, who is no doubt still grieving.

William Whitaker says, "I never stop thinking about it. I mean that was my baby, I'm never going to forget. I can't really let myself fall apart. I have other children, that I have to be strong and be there for them."

So far, there have been no arrests. The OSBI will hold a news conference Monday to update the public on the case.

There is a $30,000 reward for anyone who can help solve this case.

If you have information please call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
