Tulsa - A woman accused of being drunk when she allegedly struck and killed two bicyclists has bonded out of jail.
Officials with the Tulsa County Courthouse tell NewsChannel 8 that 38-year-old Tausha Borland posted bond and was fitted with a GPS monitor and sobrietor.
Borland is charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatality accident and driving under the influence for the June ninth crash that killed Christa Voss and Matthew Edmonds, who were struck as they rode their bicycles on Highway 51 in Sand Springs.
A third rider, John Moore of Broken Arrow was treated and released from a Tulsa hospital.
The police report indicated the officer "detected a very strong odor of alcoholic beverage" and troopers said they found an open container of alcohol in Borland's vehicle.
At a court appearance Monday, Borland's bond was increased 300-thousand dollars.
As a requirement of her bond, Borland is to be on house arrest and is allowed only to leave for court appearances, meetings with her attorney, to get food, go to church and to attend counseling.
Borland is prohibited from driving a motorized vehicle and from being anywhere alcohol is kept, sold or served.
Court records show Borland pleaded guilty to driving while impaired two years ago.
