Another Victim Of The Turnpike Accident Dies

Shelby Hayes, 35, of Frisco Texas died Sunday morning around 7 from the injuries she sustained in the accident. She was a passenger in the third vehicle involved in the crash. Both her husband, Randall, and son, Ethan Hayes, died in the crash.
The accident happened Friday afternoon on the eastbound lanes of the Will Rogers Turnpike, between Miami and Joplin, Mo. Troopers say an earlier crash had stopped traffic when a tractor-trailer slammed into at least three cars, which then crashed into more vehicles. Investigators say they do not believe the truck driver, identified as Donald Creed, 76, tried to stop before the crash.
