Tulsa - A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August fourth for a woman accused of killing two bicyclists in a drunk driving accident earlier this month.
Thirty-eight-year-old Tausha Borland appeared in court Monday, where a not guilty plea was entered on her behalf.
Borland is charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter in the June 9th crash that killed Christa Voss and Matthew Edmonds, who were struck as they rode their bicycles on Highway 51 in Sand Springs.
A third rider, John Moore of Broken Arrow was treated and released from a Tulsa hospital.
The police report indicated the officer "detected a very strong odor of alcoholic beverage" and troopers said they found an open container of alcohol in Borland's vehicle.
Borland has been out of jail since posting bond last week. She was fitted with a GPS monitor and sobrietor as a requirement of her bond and is allowed only to leave her home for court appearances, meetings with her attorney, to get food, go to church and to attend counseling.
Borland is also prohibited from driving a motorized vehicle and from being anywhere alcohol is kept, sold or served.
Court records show Borland pleaded guilty to driving while impaired two years ago.
