The son of Pittsburg County's top prosecutor has spent a night in jail on a drug complaint.
Eighteen-year-old Michael Ethan Miller, the son of District Attorney Jim Bob Miller, was released from the city jail Thursday following his arrest by McAlester police.
Michael Miller faces an initial complaint of possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription.
Jim Miller says his office plans to file a charge against his son after he receives a report from the police department.
He says he had not seen his son at the city jail and had not talked to him on the telephone. He says one of his assistants will file the charge.
Jim Miller says his office will recuse itself from handling the case once a charge is filed.
