Man Accused Of Scalding Toddler With Hot Water

An Ottawa County man accused of spraying his girlfriend's 2-year-old boy with scalding water has been jailed on $250,000 bail.
Ottawa County Sheriff Terry Durborow says 24-year-old John Cellner of Wyandotte was arrested on a child abuse complaint.
Durborow says the child suffered second- and third-degree burns over half of his body.
Durborow says the burns occurred June 27 but that no professional medical attention was sought until July 2.
The child was transferred to a Tulsa hospital for skin grafts and has since been released into the custody of the Department of Human Services.
Court records show no formal charges have been filed and do not indicate if Cellner has hired an attorney.

The woman of this poor baby is no mother, mom or any other maternal adjective you could think of. This child was burned June 27th and was NOT given ANY medical care until July 2nd? Not only is that criminal but it is also torture. Burns are an especially horrific type of pain. People who do this to children and those who allow it to be done and especially those who fail to get proper medical attention for these little ones need to be given the harshest punishment allowed by law. Actually, if the courts would just turn these perpetrators over to parents who love and care for their own children and allow them to hand out their own brand of punishment you wouldn't see nearly as many people do this to helpless children. I know I would start the punishment very very slowly in order to allow the pain to linger on and on and on......
