A woman accused of ramming bystanders with her car is recovering after being shot by Oklahoma City police in the parking lot of a night club.

Sgt. Mike Knight says officers arrived at the club on the city's south side and saw the woman driving around the parking lot ramming other club patrons. When the woman ignored police commands to stop, Knight says two officers fired shots at the car, hitting the woman.

He says the woman was shot at least once in the face and is in stable condition at a local hospital. The woman's identity wasn't released.

Knight says no one else was seriously injured.

The officers both were placed on routine administrative leave, but their names haven't been released.
