Man Sentenced In Abuse Of Girl

A judge has sentenced an Oklahoma City man to four consecutive life terms in prison for sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl.
The allegations against 48-year-old David Jonathan Collier came to light in January 2007 after his wife discovered several computer discs containing pictures of him abusing the girl.
Collier pleaded guilty in February to possession of child pornography and 14 counts of lewd acts with a child. He said he is tormented by what he did to the girl.
District Judge Ray Elliott sentenced Collier to life in prison on the lewd acts charges, running four of those terms consecutively.
Collier's attorney had suggested a 35-year term that might have allowed him to get out of prison when he was about 80.
