A sporting goods store in an Oklahoma City mall is one of the first places to sell NBA T-shirts with "Oklahoma City" on the front.
Hibbett Sports store in Quail Springs mall today began selling black T-shirts modeled after the team's summer league jerseys with the city's name on the front in white letters.
Team owner Clay Bennett is moving the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City but says there will be an entirely new name and look.
The shirts are $22 and because the team has no nickname yet the jerseys read Oklahoma City.
The actual nicknames under consideration aren't being revealed.
Bennett has said there are several names being cleared through the league and that the team took recommendations through letters, competitions at schools and a contest run by the local newspaper.
The NBA expects parts of Oklahoma City's new identity might be announced next month, but the final deadline will be late September - shortly before the start of pre-season games.
