A Lawton woman has been ordered to stand trial on charges she killed her infant son. A Comanche County judge ruled Wednesday there was sufficient evidence for 20-year-old Julie Ann Burt-Gibbons to stand trial on one count of second-degree murder.

Burt-Gibbons' son, Ransom, died Dec. 28 after being flown to an Oklahoma City hospital with brain injuries.

NewsChannel 8 myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? The woman claims the child was injured after falling off a bed. Prosecutors contend the child was hit or shaken.

Burt-Gibbons remained jailed Wednesday on a $500,000 bond. She is expected to be formally arraigned within the next week.
