Oklahoma City's new NBA team plans to use
the Performance Sports Center in north Oklahoma City as its
temporary practice facility and operations offices.
The team formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics says it's
reached an agreement in principle to purchase the building.
The 30,000-square-foot facility will serve as the team's
practice facility until a permanent one is built.

General Manager Sam Presti says the team was impressed with what
Performance Sports Center was able to offer for its temporary
needs. Presti says the NBA-size court and weight and training
facilities are suitable.
The facility will require some minor improvements to meet team
needs and NBA specifications. The team hopes to move in by the time
training camp opens in September.
