Federal officials say that Oklahoman Terry
Cline will be the next health attache and representative at the
U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
Cline, an administrator for the federal Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration, will step down from that
position effective August 30th to being his new duties.
As health attache, Cline will coordinate health programs in Iraq (

news)
and give advice to the U.S. ambassador and health and human
services secretary, among others.

He will also act as a liaison to Iraq's ministries of health,
higher education and social affairs.
Cline served as Oklahoma's secretary of health and commissioner
of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse
Services.
