A young puppy that mauled a two-month-old baby to death Monday morning has been put down.
The incident happened shortly after 10 a.m. near 102nd Street South and Evanston. The six-week-old labrador dog mauled the child as the boy sat in a swing inside the home. Officers say the child was left alone in the swing.
Paramedics rushed to the home, but the infant was pronounced dead at the scene.

"It was a very hard situation to investigate," says Tulsa Police Spokesperson Officer Jason Willingham. "Investigators, the EMSA personnel, our fire department officials that were out here. Basically at this point, we're going to do the best investigation that we can and forward those results over to the DA's office."
The dog was taken away by animal control officers and was later put down, a source tells NewsChannel 8. Another dog was inside the home at the time, and was also taken away by animal control officers. Three adults were also inside the home.
