Well, you get what you vote for! We need to recall all elected officals untill we get people in office that have the heart of the public. 200% intrest on a loan? sounds Illegal to me. It takes people and time to make changes. This is one issue that you should be able to get enough signatures together to change the law, but will anybody step up to the plate? If a group of us disabled people can run a food bank three days a week, you would think a few others could get together and collect some signatures, contact some government people to change some laws.

I like Brad Henry. But signing these payday loan operations was his biggest mistake in office! I was furious and still am furious about these places everytime I pass one on the street or receive one of their unwanted fliers in my mailbox. I call them and tell them to take me off their mailing list, that is after I ask them what their interest rate is..... This is loan sharking and for our governor to condone this really makes me wonder WHAT kind of democrat he really is? Now that they have the foothold here, he will find it next to impossible to turn the tide. These places are nasty, they take advantage of those who most need the financial help but can not afford it. They also prey on college kids who are always low on cash. It is a shame our legislature is so weak in the knees regarding 'business'. Is this really the kind of business we want in our state?????? Another reason to run screaming from Oklahoma and live elsewhere. Disgusted Transplant of 28 years
