A massive flock of birds is at the center of a struggle in Downtown Tulsa.
Bird lovers say they're protected by law and very valuable.
They say a flock of up to 200,000 purple martins eat mosquitoes as they roost in Downtown.
But some property owners say they're a nuisance.
They want them gone, because of all the waste they create.
They're using a speaker system and loud noise to scare away the brids, but say it's not really working.
However, the bird lovers have plans for the future. They hope to make it an annual bird watching event.
