Police Make Arrest In Tevon Mathias Murder

Just after 10pm Tuesday Night Tulsa Police found Tyler Ross Deerinwater at a home on the 1600 block of North Yorktown Ave.
After a short foot chase police were able to catch up to the fleeing Deerinwater and take him into custody.
He is a person of interest in the shooting death of Tevon Mathias who was shot and killed as he walked with a friend near 33rd and Garnett Road on July 2.
Police at the time said that Deerinwater and Mathias may have had an earlier altercation that lead to the shooting.
